Kids’ Chance of Illinois

BCM Law, P.C. is a proud supporter of Kids’ Chance of Illinois! Kids’ Chance is a non-profit organization which provides educational opportunities and scholarships for the children of workers seriously or fatally injured on the job. This Illinois chapter of Kids’ Chance of America helps these children pursue their dreams of attending various institutions of higher education.

Brain Up

Members of the BCM Law, P.C. team joined Brain Up for their annual 5K Run/Walk in Chicago, IL. Brain Up’s mission is to raise funds and awareness for brain cancer research! They give hope, not fear, to those affected by a brain cancer diagnosis.

Our Lady of Tepeyac High School

BCM Law, P.C. is a proud supporter of Our Lady of Tepeyac High School. Our Lady of Tepeyac High School is an all-girls, college preparatory, Catholic high school operated by the Archdiocese of Chicago and located in the Little Village community. Tepeyac offers young women an opportunity to grow academically, spiritually, and socially. Our students hail from 24 different zip codes across the Chicagoland area. 80% of our students are Latina and 20% of our students are African American. 96% of our students’ families fall below the poverty line and 63% of our students speak Spanish at home. Our Lady of Tepeyac High School is an integral part of the Little Village community. Once home to Eastern European immigrants, Little Village is now considered one of the largest Mexican American communities in the country.

Kidz Express

BCM Law, P.C. has provided financial support to Kidz Express for over 10 years and is one of its longest standing contributors. Individual attorneys at BCM have also provided assistance, both monetarily and in kind.

Kidz Express is a 501c3 charity that provides out-of-school programming to children ages 5 to 14 as well as a jobs program for youth ages 14 to 21. Kidz Express operates an after school program during the school year and a summer day camp program during the summer break. The goal of the program is have our children remain with us as they grow up, and therefore as they reach young adulthood, they become part of the Kidz Express staff, planning and supervising activities for the younger children. Our system of progression from child participant to staff participant allows us to provide a decade or more of support and mentorship to children living in one of the most challenging urban environment in the U.S. Kidz Express facility is located in the South Austin neighborhood. The Austin neighborhood records more murders each year than any other neighborhood.

Race Judicata

The BCM Law, P.C. offices participated in Race Judicata 2018. Race Judicata 2018 is a 5K Run/Walk, benefiting Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation. CVLS is the first and pre-eminent pro bono civil legal aid provider in Chicago. CVLS' mission is to coordinate, support and promote the voluntary pro bono legal representation of the Chicago area's poor and working poor.

BCM staff also participated in Judicata’s t-shirt design competition.

Team Luke - Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Members of the BCM Law, P.C. staff joined Team Luke for the Chicago Great Strides event. Great Strides is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest national fundraising event offers hope to those living with cystic fibrosis.

Team Luke was able to raise $26,285 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation!
