Gabriel J. Kahn
Gabriel Kahn is an associate attorney at BCM Law, P.C., concentrating his practice on civil litigation and employment law. Gabriel brings extensive experience in labor and employment law, with a particular focus on defending and counseling employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including Title VII discrimination claims, disability (ADA) discrimination and failure to accommodate claims, age (ADEA) discrimination claims, harassment, retaliation, workers’ compensation retaliation, FMLA, I-9 compliance, wage and hour, child labor laws, and National Labor Relations Act compliance.
Before joining BCM Law, he represented large employers in industries including foodservice, transportation, staffing, and supply chain before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and dozens of state agencies, including the Illinois Department of Human Rights. He achieved numerous case dismissals through strategic drafting of position statements and skillfully negotiated settlements to secure favorable outcomes for his clients. His work also included advising employers regarding workplace investigations and disciplinary actions, drafting policies for non-compete and other restrictive covenant agreements, and reviewing employee handbooks.
Gabriel also worked as an attorney in the Government Representation Division at the Office of the Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul, where he defended the Illinois Department of Corrections in federal litigation, including drafting motions for summary judgment filed in the Northern District of Illinois and handling extensive discovery processes. His diverse background also includes experience as a law clerk in plaintiff’s employment law and personal injury, as well as an internship with Illinois Legal Aid Online, where he assisted pro se litigants.
