Andrea M. Carlson
Andrea Carlson joined BCM Law, P.C. as an associate in 2021 in the Workers' Compensation Department. Prior to joining the firm, she practiced workers' compensation defense in the Chicago-land area, representing employers throughout the state.
She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Law in 2018. During law school, she served as a notes editor for the Journal of Law, Technology, & Policy. Ms. Carlson also gained valuable experience in civil litigation as a clerk for the City of Chicago Legal Department, as well as trial skills as a 711 licensed law clerk for the Will County Public Defender’s Office and a student attorney in the Federal Civil Rights Clinic. She also earned the prestigious Rickert Award for legal writing in 2018.
After law school, Ms. Carlson began practicing workers’ compensation and social security disability law. She has experience representing both employees and employers at the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission. Ms. Carlson has represented clients at the Arbitration level, Commission, Circuit Court, and First District Appellate Court.
Ms. Carlson volunteers as an Advocate Leader for the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance and an Alumni Mentor for the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Law. In her spare time, she is an avid reader and vinyl record collector.
